Jesus Christ has replaced the high priesthood of Aaron, and has become our eternal High Priest! Even so, we are all called to become priests of the order of Jesus Christ! if we remain steadfast in overcoming zeal, for the whole Word of God! Word used here meaning words of scripture?
Moses as the Mosaic Covenant mediator, was a type of Christ, the Mediator of the New Covenant; and Aaron as the high priest of the Mosaic Covenant, was a type of the High Priest of a New Covenant, even Jesus Christ. If Jesus was the Melchizedek the high priest there would be no need for Aaron or Shem!
