“The Shining Light” blog continues “Mark presented a Paper to the UCG Doctrinal Committee on the subject many months ago and has been actively teaching this gross error for well over a year.  I brought this to the attention of Don late last year and Mark’s heretical sermons were removed from the Spokane UCG website.
In the past I have been critical of some things in UCG but in this case UCG is correct; both in the doctrine and in rebuking such unethical behavior”

James Malm, author of “The Shining Light” blog needs to follow Nancy Pelosi’s advice “You have to read the Old Testament before you know whats in it.” Thank you Nancy. This is not a new doctrine before the Doctrinal Committee but all started back in 1994 in response to Joe Thach becoming a Trinitarian. When the Hebrew language and rules of grammar are followed, and one is willing to follow the evidence where it goes without preconceived ideas, then one can grow in grace and knowledge. To start using the word heretic is a very serious matter before God Almighty!  For which scripture do you bring the charges, I ask? Heb.1:1 The father speaking

Jesus says in John 17:3 “And this is Eternal life that they may know you the Only True God and your son Jesus Christ.”  Wow, did you read Jesus’s very own words?  He’s equating eternal life with knowing the only one who is God, and that is the Father!  Brethren, this is what your Bible says, not what some man wrote in a brochure about what His Corporate Church believes. I could go on, but let’s not forget that being a Christian centers on the fruits of the spirit.  Gal. 5: 19 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[c] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[d] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”

The doctrine of the Nature of God is the most complex and misunderstood doctrine, and Satan’s last stand for concealing the true understanding of Who God is! James 2:19
19 “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”  They’re spirit beings and the demons look up into heaven and only see One God on the throne. The bottom line is whether you agree or disagree with one, two, or three Gods (as most Christians are Trinitarians), we must remember that God will judge us by our conduct.  So practice the fruits of the spirit and study the subject with an open mind and allow the spirit to guide us in our understanding.

This foundational doctrine has been presented to the Doctrinal Committee many times over the last 20 years, and every request to discuss the topic in person has been denied. I have emails from Jim Franks from 2004 shutting down any attempt by converted ministers to have a live discussion on the matter. Again to throw around the word heretic at converted brethren is in itself troubling.  Did not Martin Luther face the same inquisition?
