The Carnal Mind
Just because we repent of the sins we know of, is it possible that the sins we don’t know of are bringing us Down? Or limiting our conversion from where it could be? We all reach understandings that give us a feeling like we really get it and I ask do we really get it!
When raised a Catholic attending Catholic school for 8 years being an alter boy singing in the folk guitar mass with others praising God with new hymns it seemed like I was really involved and moved by the praising and worship of Adonai. Then in late 1968 My dad informed me that the Sabbath was Saturday and that Christians were commanded to keep it through out all there generations
For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
“Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
Notice that it is keeping His(The Fathers) Commandment that you will Know I “Singular” am the Only true God.
Now most Christians will argue day and night that this was old covenant and that it the commandments were nailed to the cross and its ok to covet and kill and worship any day you want. The Carnal mind thinks its so! If Three Days and Three nights are Friday afternoon about the ninth hour to Sunday morning which most Christianity agrees there’s not going to be much further discussion on these matters. The opening of the mind from the Holy Spirit is the greatest miracle a Christian receives.
So Christians and Jews who understand these basic truths that set them apart from most Christians gives them a greater responsibility as priest and teachers 5 talents compared with 2-3.
As they try and teach these basic truths they see how difficult it is to help others realize the importance of Godly Worship.
On the other hand this learning and accepting new understanding for most Christians we over look how difficult it is among Sabbath and Holy Day keeping Christians and Jews in understand that The Trinity three God’s in one is not in the bible but that there is only two gods and that one god is made up of two gods. This mind set that the clear biblical text that there is only One God is as difficult of a hurdle for people as changing from Sunday worship to sun down to sundown Sabbath keeping. To not understand Who Is God and who is not is the foundation of Christianity. If you keep the Sabbath and the Holy Days and unclean meats but still don’t know the One True God and father of all puts a handicap on your thinking, a blinder on your eyes and gap in your comprehension. As teachers we must understand the language and the subject in order to teach it. Most Jews already understand that Only the Father is God and they laugh at our teachings other wise. As we laugh at there misunderstanding of the Messiah in Jesus Christ. So we all have stumbling blocks the difference is which Christian is going to keep seeking grace and truth as long as there breathing. The father is seeking those to worship him in Spirit and in truth what are your blind spots?
