If we get the first verse wrong, we misunderstand the rest of the Bible, and the COGs have been maligned with this since the modern era of the COG.  The WWPOG can understand this if they have any interest, or have the mentality for learning as a little child does.  It all begins in Gen.1:1, not John 1:1.  If you misunderstand Genesis, you can’t understand John.  The unteachable Shining Light author screens out anyone who disagrees with him, so you never hear the rest of the story. Someone should ask him why, and have him publicly state his misunderstanding of The Most High God.

Clearly David knew that his God was the Father, for only He is good, as Jesus stated above. I can’t find a single verse in the old testament where Jesus is speaking to Israel or the forefathers. The father is the only God of both testaments and he is the only one who is truly God John 17;3 and His son Jesus was his only begotten son. The father had a son, because he didn’t have a son and his mother Mary bore this son for who? The Most High God.
