JERIMIAH 23 From Shining light blog 7/8/13 my comments in Italics

23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the “LORD”.(3068 Strongs)

23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings [the great tribulation], saith the LORD.

.23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD,( this is the father speaking about a future event) that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch [the branch of Jesse which is Jesus Christ], and a King [of kings, Jesus Christ] shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

In that day all people shall seek the righteousness of Christ and the whole word of God, and SHALL NOT do what is right in their own eyes any longer.

23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

All Israel shall be saved out of their captivity, when our Mighty One (The father sends his son)  to deliver humanity.

23:7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD,( Adonia, title only used of the father) that they shall no more say, The LORD( Strongs 3068 always the father never Jesus) liveth, which brought up the children of Israel(The father brought his people out of Israel .Acts 3:13) out of the land of Egypt; 23:8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

23:9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the [false teachers] prophets; all my bones shake;23:9 continued;  I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

Christ has sent drought and famine for all our spiritual adulteries with the idols of men and false traditions.  Our troubles are caused by the sins of the nations, but more importantly because the salt of the Called Out has lost its savor as we have lost our zeal for our Mighty God.( And Father Yehovah) Jesus will spite the nations for not worshiping His God.

Oh my friends; we are so HOT in our love of men, false traditions and corporate church’s with their leaders and elders;  we burn to do as they tell us and to learn and keep the whole word of God.  We blindly follow mortal  men without questioning  their words to prove them by the whole word of God.  We exalt them above the Husband of our baptismal betrothal, and commit emotional and spiritual adultery against out Lord.   Because we follow men and not Christ we blaspheme when we call ourselves the people of God.

23:10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

Remember that these things were recorded for our instruction and example.  They apply to US today.

Many of the COG leaders and elders are profane teaching for doctrines the commandments of men (Or Nicea) and leading the flock away from their owner to follow after themselves and their own ways.

23:11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house [physical and spiritual temple]  have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD. 23:12 Wherefore [God Yehovah will make] their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation [the tribulation], saith the LORD. Strongs 3068 Yehovah the father and God of all including Jesus Christ.

As the religious leaders of Judah and Israel caused them to err in ancient times; so the religious leaders of the church of God groups have caused the brethren to err from Christ in this latter day.  Today the COG Groups prophecy by Baal [their idol of HWA and their own false ways]  and lead the brethren to follow their idols of man and false traditions away from the word of God.

Most prophecy of the last days was SEALED by God (the father Yehovah) until there was a need to know in the very last days when God (Yehovah)promised to UNSEAL the prophets.  HWA lived too far away from the very end to understand what God had SEALED, yet those who idolize him cling to his errors and refuse the new knowledge that God had promised to reveal in the very last days, Daniel 12:4 and Daniel 12:9-10.

23:13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness; they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

This is the correction of the unrepentant leaders and elders of the COG Groups of today.

23:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD (Adonia the father Yehovah 3068) of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

Christ tells us (In the new testament he wasn’t born during Jeremiah’s time) NOT to even listen to the teachings of men who are not zealous for the whole word of God; for they teach their own ways, contrary to the whole word of God; they live by their pride in themselves and do not live by the whole word of God.

23:16 Thus saith the LORD (strongs 3068 the eternal the father Yehovah) of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Because few have stood on the whole word of God; his fury will go forth against the COG Groups as a whirlwind to afflict those who do this wickedness.

23:18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD,(strongs 3068 the father) and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it? 23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

This happened in the days of Jeremiah as a lesson that we should not do the same sins or we will reap the same correction.

23:20 The anger of the LORD (Who’s anger strongs 3068 the fathers) shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

The men who prophecy lies in the name of the Lord; saying you will find peace by tolerating heresy and who stand on false traditions and the idolizing of men; shall not prosper.

23:21 “I”( singular pronoun) have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: “I” (singular pronoun) have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. ( there are over 10,000 singular pronouns describing the one God and father of all God, of both the old and new testaments. John 17:3 And this is Eternal life that they may know you the only true God and Jesus whom you have sent.23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD.(3068 the father) Do not “I” ( Who? the father, no We) fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.(3068) 23:25 I (Who, the father) have heard what the prophets [leaders and speakers teach] said, that prophesy lies in “My” name,( “My” is a singular pronoun) saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

How long will the COG leaders lead people away from Christ to follow themselves and their false traditions? or to exult a dead man above the word of God?  To make and bow before idols [baals]  of men and corporations?

23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Jesus Christ who inspired the holy scriptures, ( Jesus had nothing to do with the book of Jerimiah or any old testament writing’s, he wasn’t even born yet! James doesn’t and refuses to know who God is, yet he is going to lead us out of heresy!) is against those who speak their own words and teach their false traditions, tolerating heresy and sin, falsely claiming that they are teaching the word of God.23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets [speakers], saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.  [When the Eternal has NOT said any such thing!]23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy [speak, teach falsely]  false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness [taking lightly the word of God]; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.23:33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.23:34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

Repent quickly and seek to learn and keep, asking for the whole word of God, and not after the teachings of men.  When someone asks you a question do you answer:  “Well the church teaches”  or “HWA said”; or do you answer;  “The scriptures say this” and then quote and stand on the whole word of God? (I say you are guilty of the above James and I have given you scripture after scripture but you don’t answer.)

23:35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken? (The father is clearly speaking in every passage of this text 3068)

Because the COG Groups have followed a mortal man and idolized his words, and have not proven out his words by the whole word of God; and have twisted and perverted many of the words of scripture to support their errors; each person who does that, will be responsible for his own conduct and God will correct him, neither hearing him nor delivering him for his unrepentant sin.” James Mam Shining Light Blog  (My comments in Italics is  not the cat, calling the kettle black, I wrote you decide.)

To the unsuspecting COG person the above might sound like sound opinion. Its easy to point the finger and miss the plank in our own eye. I might be just as guilty as the shining light writer, having said that, I will weigh in on what I see as the cat calling the kettle black. The COGs are fellowship places with people of like mind. The COG organizations have been thru some rough times in the last few years, I think all of us agree with that. The ministry has suffered credibility, we would all agree. If by July 8 2013  you as a baptized member, are not working out your own salvation your probably in shortage of oil in your lamp. Mr Malm accuses the COGs day and night of not having zeal for Gods commandments and brethren being led by false ministers into apostacy. There are elements of truth in what he says, for we must all grow in grace and knowledge, until God sends Jesus to lead us and teach us, what sin has blinded us to. Roy Holiday gave a 2 part sermon on Sabbath keeping which I recommend, in light of what Shining light blog says about changing the doctrine in UCG. Back to what the shining light says today and Mr Malm whom I have no personal dislike for but simply remind him of what he says daily contains some flaws in thinking. Example today he says in Jer. 23:5 “Behold the days  come saith the LORD (Adonia which is always the father which is the one God of both old and new testaments) That I ( singular pronoun) will raise unto David a righteous branch, and a King shall reign and prosper.” This is father speaking about a future king that will be a righteous Judge in the future. Mr Malm thinks this is the Word speaking about his latter incarnation. This is the kind of thinking that came from HWA before the information revelation which started about 1992 several years after HWA death. Information is now available to shine light on key verses such as the singular usage of Gen.1:1

Folks the above from Nehemia Gordon is just a paragraph out of a 15 page study on this first verse in the bible which sets the tone for the first and greatest commandment and the rest of scripture, of who is and who is not, God. When shining light blog was notified about this information James did what HWA did he ignored it because he didn’t want to admit he was wrong, especially when he’s on a role…

Should a Christian being printing sensationalizam to be first? Sounds like National Inquire, James Malm’s shining light blog again takes the headline out of context to be first to slam fellow COG minster Gerald Flurry, only to redact and apologize after the fact. Sounds like the way Washington Politics are played. Malm then after apologizing, goes right back at personal attack on Mr Flurry. Then he ends his little rant by saying he is always in search of the truth. Mr Malm has hidden his peers from the pages of his blog all year long. When someone points out a scripture that contradicts what he wrote, then he just ignores it, is that seeking the truth?  He screens out those he disagrees with and you never see their arguments they raise against Mr Malm’s writing’s or statements that  his peers abject to. When Mr Malm says he seeks the truth, what he is saying is, his version of the truth and that’s not truth. Brethren the most difficult thing for anyone is to admit that they are wrong. Is that not the truth?

“PCG UPDATE / CORRECTION:   On the issue of Flurry instructing people not to have children.

Gerald Flurry gave a sermon entitled “The Spirit of Antiochus” where he referenced Matthew 24:19 and said we could be coming to the place where he would be asking people not to have any more children, possibly in a year or two.  He did not actually forbid having children as of yet, however he did mention the issue causing some confusion in PCG brethren.

This comment was made in the context of declaring that the end is in sight, in order to extort more contributions from the brethren to finance his building projects.  PCG is now in dire financial straits due mainly to their worship of HWA and spending huge amounts for Armstrong memorabilia and trying to copy the HWA auditorium and the AICF programs which drained the WCG to financial disaster.  Following the disastrous policies of HWA has led to financial disaster for PCG.

Shining light blog says about UCG today claiming Tolerance

                                          What deceitful double talk!

Tolerance of doctrinal diversity for the sake of organizational peace, is to separate themselves from Jesus Christ and God the Father; who would NEVER tolerate the false teachings that bring destruction upon those who believe or tolerate them!   What utter rubbish! 

Never would Jesus Christ tolerate false teachings for the sake of peace!  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!

³⁵ For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. ³⁶ And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

³⁷ He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

³⁸ And he that taketh not his cross [burden], and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Those who give up the struggle for spiritual unity with Christ, for the sake of organizational unity and peace through the tolerance of doctrinal diversity:  Have NOTHING  to do with the mind of Christ.

Jeremiah 17

The sin of Judah is engraved on their hearts to rebel against their God; and so it is with the  latter day church of God groups who have been thoroughly indoctrinated to obey and idolize men instead of loving the whole word of God to learn and keep it.

17:1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond: it is graven upon the table of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars; 17:2 Whilst their children remember their altars and their groves by the green trees upon the high hills.

Jesus Christ loves us so much and is deeply jealous and angered by our spiritual adultery to idolize men and love men and their teachings, more than we love the Husband of our espousal.

17:3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high places for sin, throughout all thy borders.  17:4 And thou, even thyself, shalt discontinue from thine heritage [they land into captivity] that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not: for ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn for ever.

Why will be follow and obey men contrary to the word and ways of our espoused Husband that we committed to follow fully at our baptism?  Why will we separate ourselves from our Mighty Lord to follow after false lovers?  Why will we follow men blindly away from the whole word of God?  Why do we not obey the word of God and prove all things by the whole word of God to learn and keep only what is true by God’s word?  Please do listen to the Primacy of Peter audio series.

17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. 17:6 For he [who trusts in men and not in the whole word of God] shall be like the heath [dry sagebrush] in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

The sincerely zealous to learn and keep the whole word of God; shall by the learning and the doing, internalize the very nature of the Father and Christ, to become ONE with them in true spiritual unity. Such a person is greatly blessed.

17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Think carefully on the following:  Do the COG leaders delight in zeal for the law of God?  Even those who claim they do; in reality talk the talk, but they DO NOT walk the walk, they teach for commandments the traditions of men and they love those who love and follow them, but persecute those who are truly zealous for the whole word of God.

Blessed is the man who does not walk [live] by the counsel of those who belittle sound doctrine and zeal for the whole law and word of God!  Blessed is the person who does not follow those who compromise with the commandments of God.  Blessed is the one who does not persecute and heap scorn on the zealous for the whole word of God and all his teachings and commandments.

James Malm’s above blog shows he also has false doctrine! He inserts Jesus into old testament scriptures that are clearly not Jesus but are Yahweh the father who is the God of both old and new testaments. See yesterdays post on LORD. When Jesus returns he does not know! Only God knows the things of God. Matt.24:36 Notice the high priest questioning Jesus! Matt 26:63 “I adjure You by the living GOD ( This statement shows two things one that the high priest new who was God and Jesus didn’t interrupt him) that You tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God. (Who’s son is Jesus, the son of Yahweh the God of Israel, not God himself or he would of been stone on the spot.) Jesus said to him, “It is as you said”.” Never the less, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man (hardly a title for God) sitting at the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of heaven”. Who’s the power? “Yahweh”  John 20:17 Jesus speaks, ” I am ascending to My Father and Your Father, and to my God and your God. The only one who is God and the only one who is eternal, is the Father I Tim 6:15-16

There are so many teachable moments in todays post!

Another prophecy of the physical coming of Yeshua Messiah  [Jesus Christ]. Yahweh gives Isaiah insight to his future son who will be born years latter to be the unblemished sacrifice of sin. The deliverer like Moses. Is.61:1  “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek, he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound”.   The words Lord God are a title only used of the father, followed by LORD, followed by Strong’s 3068 Yehhovaw the self existent or Eternal, Jewish national name of God. I Tim 6:15 The father is the only one with immortality. We know that the God of our fathers was the father not Jesus Acts 3:13 and in Jesus own words John 8:54 and verse 41.    Jesus is coming back when? He doesn’t know, only God knows, Matt 24:36 Is Jesus coming as God?” No” not one scripture. His titles are King of Kings and lord of lords and high priest. What is his role? To lead the world in proper worship of his God and our God. Yahweh will not dwell with man until after the white throne judgement which all unrepented sinners are destroyed. Then Christ the son of the one true God will hand all power and authority back to his father and God… Rev.21:3 Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and he (not them) will dwell with them, and they shall be His (not there’s) people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. Singular pronouns, couldn’t be any clearer, finally after all things the father will dwell with His creation…

James Malm gives another scathing critique of UCG and other COG churches. Mr Malm sites false teachings and Sabbath tolerance and being incorporated as Idolatry. Lets look at James own record for intolerance and false teaching. It has been pointed out to him repeatedly that he worships more than one God, he teaches that Christ was the god of the old testament and that God is a family. He has been offered 10,000 dollars to produce a scripture that Christ is speaking in the old testament. He has been challenged on his HWA doctrine that God is a family, again there is no scripture in the bible, in fact it’s just the opposite, God is creating a family. It starts with his first-born among many, Jesus son of the one God and father of all… Zeal for more than one God is Idolatry! Ex. 20:3 You (that’s you and me) Shall (that’s a command) have no other gods before  “ME” period. Me is a singular pronoun, does anybody not get this first and greatest commandment?  To the Sadducees Mark 12:24 Jesus answered and said to them, “Are you not therefore mistaken,(deceived) because you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God? (Here Jesus is explaining God as his own being, not made up of two or three other beings, acting on his own behalf in the old testament. Vrs 25 ” For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 26 But concerning the dead that they rise, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the burning bush passage, how God spoke to him, Saying “I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob’? HE is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You therefore are greatly mistaken (Deceived).

There is so much in the above scriptures that is missed. The doctrine of life after dead! “When they rise from the dead” This is clear that they haven’t yet, so they, or us, can’t be in heaven or Hell because the resurrection hasn’t happened yet. Second and on our poin,t Jesus clearly states that God, our father, was the one who spoke at the burning bush. vrs 27 confirms the singular pronoun to describe the father HE. It gets better, the scribe vrs 28 having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that he (Jesus) had answered them well, (The Sadducees) asked him, “Which is the first and greatest commandment of all? 29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is (the identity of who alone is God) Hear oh Israel, the Lord our God (” Our” includes Jesus God) the Lord is One. 32 So the scribe said to Him, (Jesus) Well said teacher. You have spoken the truth, ( equating this knowledge of the one God as truth) For there is one God, and there is NO other but “HE”… (He a singular pronoun) 33 And to Love “Him” (Singular pronoun) 34 So when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God” after that no one dared question Him.( Jesus singular pronoun)

Brethren this is just the tip of the iceberg on this singular Good being called Yahweh, father our God. This is the kind of learning that changes lives, not the latest flavor of the week, of new self-proclaimed teachers…Having Zeal is not enough brethren, having the truth gives you Zeal, but if your not reading your bible clearly, you can’t understand the simple word one. Is.43:10 ” And understand that I am He. Before ME there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after ME. 10,000 singular pronouns describing our one God and father, Yahweh is his name…

Don’t believe me, believe your bible! Sound familiar, notice when a new public ministry starts its always listen’s and let’s every one have a comment whether they agree or not. HWA started out saying that you should not believe him, but believe your bible. Then once you got baptized you were to believe him, or be thrown out. James Malms Shining light blog started out allowing for freedom to  comment, whether James agreed or not, to build a following. Now that he has enough people to support him and he is going to lead a feast site and next a church, preying on frustrated COG people that have been disillusioned with the ex WWCOG ministry. The problem is James has the same problem that all the COGs have! He’s in charge and either agree or be silenced. James is packing HWA doctrine with his spin on the calendar, and the new moons and hard core Sabbath keeping. What your not hearing about is his peers that have pointed out his error on Prophecy, Who is God? and the calendar. These are huge issues that no COG group has dared deal with, because why? Fear, HWA and every COG runs on fear and not love, Malm is no exception. But perfect love cast out  fear… The forgotten scripture. The Shining light blog ask for money from unsuspecting brethren  when he has been offered $10,000 dollars from his peers for producing one scripture in the old testament where Jesus is speaking! You think he would jump at that easy money instead of asking brethren for money, but now if he gets it from you, then he doesn’t have to answer to his peers.” Amazing ” And the cycle goes round an round and round. Never coming to the knowledge of the truth. Unity, Tolerance and Doctrine are just words unless you grow in grace and knowledge which comes from your bible or your minister if you can check your bible to see if these things be true.

Nehemia Gordon confirms at the 12 annual one God Conference that Gen.1:1 is a singular usage of the word God (Elohim). Elohim: Plural or Singular? Part 1 www.karites.info He says” the first thing we must check out is whether it gets a plural adjective and a plural verb, because this will tell us whether or not it is a numerical plural denoting multiplicity. In the very first verse of the Torah we read (He gives the Hebrew letters) Elohim (He) created.
